Toby Keith wrote this song as a tribute to his Dad, when his Dad passed away, a few years before 9/11. He never recorded it. But every so often he would play it at performances, but again just as a tribute to his Dad. But when 9/11 happened those that knew of or heard the song, seriously encouraged him to record it and put it out. So he did and played it for our service Man and Woman stationed overseas and alot of military bases. He is a true Patriot! This is the best song and THE BEST patriotic song ever! ❤
